James Meyer '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is James Meyer. I am a sophomore at Heritage High School, and a starting CB/OB for my team. I also start for my club team 06 NCFC White. I strive to not be the best athlete I can be, but also the best student athlete as well. I take my schooling very seriously, and my goal is to attend a 4-year college, where I can earn my degree while also spending valuable time with teammates and the sport I love, soccer. Furthermore, I am a great communicator, and I make it my goal to hold everyone around me accountable for their responsibilities. It is important, as a crucial part of my team's back line, that I am vocal and communicate clearly, while being smart on the ball and scanning the field for the best possible pass or long ball. The thing I believe that makes me stand out from other recruits is not just my athleticism, but my mental strength as well. I spend my practice time working on my weaknesses because that is ultimately what will create the best version of myself.  I hope that I will be able to spend my collegiate years at a college that support and aid me in my education and athletic career.
