Vincent Holtzapple '25 Recruiting Profile

I started at center back as a freshman and sophomore on very talented teams. In order to help produce offensively against tougher opponents, midway through my sophomore season my team started using me at striker as well. Though I played approximately 90% of my time at center back, my sophomore season I scored 8 goals, had 3 assists, and was the fifth highest offensive producer on a team that went 16-4-1 and scored 88 goals for the season. My junior year of 2023 I was a Captain of the team. I started the season at striker but was moved to center back a few games into the season due to the coach's concern of our defensive strength. I was still occasionally moved up to striker or attacking midfielder to ignite our attack during games which we were not producing well offensively. I finished my Junior season with 8 goals and 5 assists on a team that ended the season as Co-Champions of the Western Buckeye League, District Champions and Regional Finalists. We had a final season record of 19-3-1 and outscored our opponents 94-15, finishing in the Elite Eight of Ohio Division II. As a Junior I was named First Team All Western Buckeye League as well as First Team All District. I always know my place on a team, and will make sure my place is being one of the best. I will outwork anyone, in season or out, and will encourage my teammates to accompany me in that work.
