I am an athletic, physical player with excellent technical skills. One of my strengths is my poise on the ball and vision, enabling me to make penetrating passes pushing the ball upfield and dangerous passes in the final third. I also enjoy playing defense and my athleticism and strength help me win 1-on-1 battles and 50-50 balls. I really love the game and that enthusiasm carries over into practice and my personal strength, speed and soccer skills training that I am dedicated to. I have a strong work ethic, striving to get better at each practice and every time I step onto the field to play a game.
I was voted captain as a junior. I believe I am a good teammate, supporting, pushing and encouraging my brothers. I may have been a better golfer years ago when I decided to focus completely on soccer, but I love the experience of working with 11 other guys on the field together. It is such a great game. So much fun and I am creating friendships in the process that will be with me forever. I want to win another State CUP title with my club team and make a run at regionals. In my senior year at Moeller high school we have a great chance to go all the way and win the state title. I am looking forward to a great finish before moving on to college. My collegiate athletic ambitions are to play for a school that has a great winning culture and one that has a strong brotherhood within the team. In college my goal will be to push myself to be a big contributor to that winning culture and see how much I can improve.
I have always been focused on achieving high marks in school for as long as I can remember. I am very disciplined about my studies. I am interested in a university that has a great academic reputation in a field of study that interests me. Currently I am interested in medicine or pharmacy. I know these are challenging fields and I will need to be organized and disciplined to excel in both academics and soccer. I believe I have a good foundation, with the rigors of a Moeller education, playing high school/club soccer year-round and my own individual development thrown in (weight lifting all year, private technical soccer lessons, camps, speed training,...).
I believe I am a well-rounded student-athlete, a great teammate and someone who can help build a winning culture at the next level.
