Personal Statement:

I want to continue my soccer career by playing at the highest level I possibly can.  My strengths are physical and mental toughness, defending, winning balls in the air, initiating offensive possession out of the back and integrating into the offense when possible.  I am aggressive to the ball and have a strong physical presence on the field.  I play with heart and desire and the constant will to win no matter what team or situation I am in. I am willing to work my way up on a team and give consistent effort to get better.  I am a good teammate and team builder and I tend to think of others more than myself.  I work hard to create a cohesive team that plays together instead of as individuals.  I communicate positively with my teammates and tend to be a positive leader.

Off the field, I have a strong desire to do well in school.  I am driven to perform at the highest level I can in school.  I also believe in taking care of myself and my body in regards to nutrition and working out, etc.  I like having a busy schedule to keep me active and organized in all areas of my life. I appreciate a structured schedule and would definitely go crazy if I was only attending school without playing a sport.  In addition to playing soccer, I have been a volunteer soccer coach of junior level kids.  I also swam on the varsity swim team throughout high school, I am a lifeguard and I will be swim team coach this summer for ages 5-18.    

My goal is to find a situation on a college soccer team where I can get in the door and work my way up to a starting position by my sophomore or junior year.
