Personal Statement
The Wellington School has prepared me to play collegiate soccer by challenging me in the classroom, giving me the confidence and fearlessness necessary in life to play and learn at the next level. I work through challenges and understand that once I overcome them, I have grown not only as a student or athlete but a person in general. In the classroom, my peers come to me for help, which I am gladly willing to give. My work ethic on and off the field has supplied me with all the tools needed to play at a high level. I have played soccer since I was five years old. By the time I was seven, I knew I loved the sport and I have played nearly every day since. I support and encourage my teammates, while also holding them accountable for their responsibilities. I am always finding ways to better myself as a player and feel like I am very coachable. I have experience playing many positions, giving me a good understanding of the game. My primary position in central midfield is where I am most comfortable and feel I excel the most. While I am not the flashiest player on the field, I view myself as crafty and able to get the job done, just like one of my favorite players, Tom Davies on Everton.
