Jake Junior Winte...Personal Statement
Soccer has been my main passion my whole life. I have been playing for 10+ years, and have big aspirations of playing at the collegiate level. I play club soccer for Cincinnati Elite 04/05 ECNL-RL team, and attend high school at Kings High School. I mostly play center back but also am able to play defensive center mid and center mid. I have been a varsity starter my sophomore and junior years, where we finished 3rd in the ECC both years. On top of that, I received the All-Academic Conference award my freshman, sophomore, and junior years, and All Conference award my junior year.
When it comes to playing, I like to be the anchor at the back, and shutdown any attacking players that come my way. I have great vision and strength on the ball or when going into a challenge. I also to like to be a verbal leader, and help organize my team during games. I always will bring a completive mindset and play my hardest every time I step on the field.

- Jacob, I thought you had a very good camp. I was mostly impressed with your natural goal scoring abili:es. I no:ced you are very good at slowing up the play and drawing defenders in and doing a quick move to gain a couple yards on the defender and get a shot off. Your one versus ones on offense were very good. I think you could move the ball a bit quicker as well. Once you draw that defender in you had mul:ple opportuni:es where you created great opportuni:es and got the shot off, which were good shots! I think you have what it takes to compete at the next level. I think you would be on boCom of the varsity squad depending on your transi:on to this level. You were ranked at the boCom third with our speed test. I recommend working on your speed and agility as much as possible. I recommend geDng in the weight room as soon as possible to help with your transi:on to the speed of play and physicality at the college level. MS
