Greg Marsh '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6"0 foot, 165 pound, 18 year old hard working soccer player that is 100% dedicated to the sport and will do everything it takes to succeed. I have played soccer since I was 6 years old and have enjoyed it very much. I have been playing for the Summit FC Soccer Club since I was 9 years old. I have been in the indoor and outdoor aspect of soccer for this club team as well as my High School Soccer team at LaBrae High School. I have been a starter for the High School varsity soccer team all four years.   I've played in every game and for the majority of these, I never left the field. I have received a letter each year.  I am now a Senior, and once again a starter and captain. One goal I have is to be a four year letterman. As a Sophomore, I earned All-County Honorable Mention. My Junior Year and senior year, I earned First Team All Conference, First Team All County, and First Team All District. As a junior I finished second in my district in assists and eighth in goals, as a senior I once again finished second in assists and sixth in goals.  Most of the season, my primary position was Defensive Sweeper. As a Sweeper, I helped our team record six shutouts and finish with the best record in our school history at 9-4-3, my junior year. My senior year we recorded two shutouts and had an overall record of 6-7-1.  The summer before my senior year my high school team competed in the Strongville Adidas showcase in which I was the player of the game for 4 out of the 6 games we played.  When I graduate, I am looking for a school that will help further me in life and provide the education required to help meet my goals. One goal I have is to become a Pharmacist. I understand that the medical field will require a geat deal of hard work. It is going to take a big commitment on my part to reach this goal, but it is one that I am looking forward to. Athletically, my goal is to continue playing the sport that I enjoy so much. I feel that my work ethic and dedication will help me grow into an impact player. I am looking to push myself as much as I can to give a soccer team the ability to be competitive and successful. I am willing to do what it takes to play college soccer as well as fufilling my desired major in medicine.
