Joseph Deitering '22 Recruiting Profile

    It has been my dream ever since I was a toddler to play sports at a professional level. It didn't really matter what sport I was playing, I wanted to be the best at it. Growing up in Ecuador, soccer was a sport that I grew up around and it was part of my every-day-life. As a kid, I remember trying to juggle the ball around the house and getting upset because I didn't accomplish the goal I set for myself. As I grew and started to improve my skills, I started to really love soccer, I started imitating professional players. I wanted to be like them. 

    As I get older, the aspirations I had as a kid motivate me to work harder at the sport that I love. I want to be known as the kid from one of the smallest schools in Ohio who went on to play college soccer and made a difference for his team. I want to be known as a man who not only is a great soccer player but who is someone that people look up to as a role model

    I know I will work hard for any team I play on. Whether it is NAIA, Division 3, Division 2, or Division 1, I will give my all for any team I play for. I have a very strong work ethic and if I don't succeed at first I will try again until I accomplish my goal.
