Personal Statement
Soccer has been an incredible journey for me thus far. A calling I knew since I could talk. I made decisions in my early years about whom I wanted to be on and off the field which led me to get involved in my school, community, and make changes in my soccer decisions. Character and integrity have always been important to me. Dealing with disappointments, criticism and setbacks has allowed me to turn these challenges into a greater purpose. I always chose to rise to the challenge for success with determination and confidence. Soccer has taught me that to be the best does not always come in the form of the starting line-up, but it is a player who is dependable, can withstand criticism, reflects to grow to greater highest of achievement, is a player who supports his teammates and continues to push on for greater results. At times, that has meant that I accept where I am, to be patient, and to keep working hard.
Through the years, I have become a dynamic player that can play multiple positions that make me valuable to my coaches and teammates. I am a motivated defender who has great ball reading skills and speed which allows me to see the situation, push up, and assist the forwards. I have aspirations of playing soccer at the college level while perusing a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science with emphasis on Strength and Conditioning. I plan on using my talents, skills, and degree to stay involved in sports and help others achieve their dreams as I have.
