Personal Statement
My name is Cameron Christian. I am currently a junior at Licking Heights High School located in Pataskala, Ohio. I just recently finished my second season as a starting Varsity Center Midfielder, but I also play other positions such as Right Mid and Striker. I am currently on the U17 Columbus Crew Pre Academy team and have been with the Columbus Crew Soccer club for the past four years. I am the starting Right Midfielder. I started playing soccer at the age of four for our community soccer league and at the age of eight I switched over to club soccer and have not stopped since.
I feel my strengths as a soccer player are: team player, good ball control and movement, and being able to distribute the ball to my teammates. I am a versatile player who is able to play almost any position on the field, but my most effective position is as an offensive player.
I work hard on and off the field to continue to build my skills as a soccer player. I also work hard in the classroom. My education is extremely important to me. My education is my foundation for my future, so I strive to do the best I can to maintain my grades.
Thank you so much for viewing my personal statement and I hope I am the type of soccer player, student and individual you would like to have at your school.
“Cameron possesses many qualities that any coach looks for in a player such as his technical ability with the ball, unremarkable speed and quickness with and without the ball, but above all else his work rate is what sets him apart. Cameron is a kid who you know you are going to get 100% out of every time he steps on the pitch. He is a very coachable and respectable young man with a very bright future ahead of him as he continues to stay committed. It has been a privilege to work and watch Cameron grow as both a player and person over the past few years.” - Steve Lesmes, Columbus Crew Soccer Club Pre Academy Coach.
“Cameron is a highly skilled and competitive soccer player. He is always willing to give 110% on the field and works hard to improve his skills on and off the field.” – Zach Grubb, Licking Heights High School Varsity Soccer Head Coach.
