Personal Statement
Growing up, I tried out a variety of activities, but never quite found a passion for it like I did with soccer. Soccer made sense to me. Though I didn't become serious about it until high school, once I started playing, I knew it would change my life. Being out on that field isn't just about the game to me, it's the place where I find peace, confidence and acceptance. Playing on both indoor and outdoor leagues helped shape my leadership, communication and adaptability skills. I'd like to use those skills to continue to grow as a player and as a student. My goal is to work on my health and exercise science degree to then hopefully pursue a degree in chiropractic medicine. I'd like to help athletes in the same way that I've been helped throughout high school soccer with injuries.
