Kymani Rose '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kymani Rose and I am currently in my Grade 11 year of High school at Rome City Institute. 

Soccer is my passion. I've always known this was the sport that I was meant to play, that I can't see myself living without. Ever since I was 4 years old, I always had a soccer ball and kicking around the ball was my favourite thing to do. It's part of who I am, and I fell in love with the sport. I've played on various teams, from my local club to school Varsity teams, and every experience has been incredible. I had the opportunity to travel to Italy to further develop my skills with my club team in 2023 and played against some of the best teams around the world during the week that was spent. It allowed me to push myself further, and increase my level of play. We came 2nd and 3rd in the tournament. In 2018, my team won the League Cup, and in 2023 we got to the Finals of the League Cup. This year, 2024, my team won the Lakefront Classic Showcase in Rochester, NY. It was a great accomplishment. In every instance that I get to play, I leave everything on the field and put in 200% every single time. 

Soccer has taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance and allowed me to develop into a leader on and off the pitch. I want to take my skills to the next level and play at the collegiate level. I'm determined to study sports science or kinesiology to grow my understanding of the game, and how the body moves. I am a good student, and my education is just as important to me as my sport. I plan to consider colleges that would be a good match for me academically.  My ultimate goal is to make it to a professional level, playing for a team in Europe or the MLS league as well. I know it won't be easy, but I am ready to put in the hard work and dedication to make my dreams a reality.
