Personal Statement

My name is Vance Sheffield &  I am a Junior at La Salle Preparatory High School in Milwaukie, Oregon. 2023 I was the 5A Oregon POY & NW Conference POY. I was voted a Top 25 High School Player in the nation by Sports Illustrated. I was also nominated for Oregon Gatorade POY for 2023. Soccer has always been a part of my life since I was young. Currently I play for my club team OPFC & my La Salle College Prep varsity high school team. I play forward, but I can also play wing. I’m a very skillful player w/ strong technical abilities. My strengths are ball control, speed, situational awareness, & finishing. I pride myself in my academics & have earned a 3.6 thru my Junior Year. I want to attend a college very competitive in both academics & athletics. I want to work in the healthcare industry when I graduate as it serves my goal of helping people in life.
