Personal Statement

I am currently a junior in high school, and am interested in playing soccer in college to learn and play the game to the best of my ability. Right now I am 5'10", and 145lbs. This past high school season was pretty interesting. I was not a starter for the first 3 games of the season. At that point I was playing outside midfield. When the defense was letting up goals, my coach looked to me to step up and lead the team. From that point on, I started as an outside defender every game of the season. He knew that he needed me on the field not only for my soccer skills, but also as a leader. I turned into an unofficial captian. In the offseason, i will be on a club team and attending a few major tournaments. In my junior year,I am taking one of the hardest schedules academically. I am a very hard worker, and will try my hardest to do my very best. In the future, i would like to major in sports management. Playing soccer in college has been a goal of mine since i was on my first team at age 4, and it would be great if that dream could be fulfilled.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
