I have loved playing sports from a young age, soccer since I was 4 with the Connellsville rec league, along with golf and ice hockey. By junior high, I also added track and field. I have been playing cup soccer with the Beadling Club, one of the oldest in the country, since fifth grade. Their keeper trainings and competitive play have helped me grow as a player. The travel demands of cup soccer meant taking a break from hockey in high school, although I still love the game.
During State Cup, this spring, I tore my ACL. I underwent surgery and have worked diligently to rehab as quickly as possible. I was excited to get cleared a few weeks ago for regular play! Only five months, post surgery. I helped my team win two back to back WPIAL (district) championships and win runner-up for the state PIAA championship, last fall. This season I had to help as a captain and coach with my back-up keeper. We still posted a great season, finishing runner-up at WPIAL's and making it to the state PIAA quarterfinals. It was hard not to be playing, but I did the best I could to help in practice and on the bench.
I am excited to be playing next week at the USYS National League P.R.O. Orlando, December 4-6th as the starting goalkeeper for 2003 Beadling Showcase Team. I look forward to being able to help my team again on the field as well as training for a spot on a college team.
I am a passionate and disciplined player with excellent communication skills. I look forward to bringing these qualities to a college team and look forward to the opportunity to compete while pursuing my degree in the health and business areas of study.
