Personal Statement
My history with soccer dates back to the age of four when I joined my local club, Horsham Soccer. By age eleven, I joined a more prestigious Soccer club in my area, the Ukrainian Nationals Club. After two years, I sought even greater competition, so I tried out for an academy team. In 2013/2014 I played on a Pre-Academy team with Match Fit Academy (Coach, Steve DeMatteo). The following year I joined Continental FC's Pre-Academy team (2014/2015 Coach, Will Thornton). I currently play on Continental FC's U-15 Pre-Academy team (Coach, Jonathan Rhodes). This past fall, I played for my High School's Varsity Soccer Team (Coach, Kyle McGrath). Playing for these teams/coaches, allowed me to become a better player, both physically and mentally, and I strive to continue to increase my soccer abilities.
Over the years, I participated in several other sports including, track, baseball, basketball, and swimming, but soccer is my favorite sport and my focus. It would be an honor to continue to play in college to hone my skills for the possibility of attaining a bid to play professional soccer. Professional soccer has always been my dream.
I give my studies as much attention as I give to my sport. My current (10th Grade), course load consist of Honors, Accelerated, and AP courses. If I am given the opportunity to further my soccer career, and play in college, I plan to work hard both on the field and in the classroom. My dream beyond professional soccer is to have a career in engineering.
