Personal Statement
I was born and raised in Guatemala where soccer was the only sport played so ever since I was 3 I have been kicking the ball with my 9 older brothers. Each of my brothers have played soccer either at the college level or even at a professional level and I have been playing with them and competing with them for as long as I can remember. It has been due to my competitive upbringing that I am constantly seeking to better myself! I am not afraid to work hard to achieve my goals whether it's on the field and off.
During my 7th and 8th grade year, my team lost only 1 game and tied 2. Now in high school, I play for Lower Dauphin who have won our conference for the past four years and have won states twice and on the club level, despite being 17, I train with the U-23 Penn FC team where I get a lot of great exposure to a high level of play due to all of the players already being in college and compete at the college level.
Now for my Junior year, I am very proud to say that I have helped my team to even more success with winning our division, our district championship, and the PIAA 3A state championship all in one year, with me registering 8 goals and 7 assists and even scoring a goal in the state finals! I hope and will continue to work hard to carry this success into the next year and continue doing everything I can to win for my team.
This shows that no matter who I am going up against, I have the mindset to overcome any obstacle and work to be the best soccer player I can be!
