Personal Statement
I believe that I would be a good candidate for college coaches because of my intensity, and athleticism.
I have been playing at high level tournaments for six years for both soccer and lacrosse starting in fourth grade.
Four of my proudest moments in sports were:
In my first year of playing LSM for my High school JV team I won JV Defensive MVP at a AAA school which is the highest division in PA.
As a Freshman, after a successful JV season as a starter at Cumberland Valley High School (AAAA in Soccer) I was asked to train and travel with our Varsity Team through out Districts and States.
As an Eighth Grader my club lacrosse team Team Money, went to Dicks Tournament of Champions where I was voted on to the 2015 Dicks Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions Under Amour All Tournament Team Based on Stars of the Game Voting by coaches. I was proud to make first team in my age group U13. I was one of the 10 people to make the first team out of approximately 600 kids on 30 different teams.
Finally after my sophomore year on JV I was called up to my varsity lacrosse team to practice and travel with them through the post season.
I enjoy both the competition and the camaraderie of soccer and lacrosse. Some of my happiest moments have been with teammates practicing past dark and celebrating a tough fought victory.
I feel it is important to be a positive role model as a student athlete. This fall I was a volunteer TOPS for my third year, an outreach program for soccer. It is a community based training and team soccer program for young athletes with special needs.
I also volunteer for many youth lacrosse programs where I help grow the game and encourage younger kids to play lacrosse, and officiate many youth lacrosse tournaments.
