Tyler Caterino '18 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was little people have told me "you can't make it" or "only like 2% of athletes make it to where they wanna make it" and I've always said " Well why can't I be that 2%?" People have always doubted me in my life and I just don't listen to them. They don't matter to me,because I know they don't feel how I feel about soccer. They don't know the feeling of running down field and creating a goal scoring opportunity for yourself or a teammate, they don't know the feeling of scoring the game winning goal in a golden goal double overtime with minutes to spare.They don't get it,and I understand that.

My freshman year my Highschool team won our section for the 2nd time in school history and we were predicted to go all the way to the WPIAL Semi-Finals but we lost in the first round. This really shaped me as a person and as a player. A 14 year old boy who bursted onto the scene scoring 16 goals and is ready to take the the toughest of teams in Western PA to battle for the WPIAL Title just lost his very first playoff game. I was devastated. This is when I decided there won't be anymore "let downs" or "upsets" from this point I promised myself that I would give me 110% in every game I would play. This has gotten me to where I am now and I wouldn't change t for the world.
