Personal Statement
Being named a captain my Junior year was the highlight of my high school career thus far. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete also my Junior year when our team made it to the PIAA State Championship game only to lose 2-1. That experience taught me to grow as a person and reinforced my goal of becoming a center back/center mid capable of playing at the college level.
I was fortunate enough to be part of an amazing program where I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership whether playing in the state championship game or not. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic and leadership skills to make an impact in a college program. As a basketball player as well, I am continuing to learn life lessons that athletics offer to student-athletes. I am confident that I have what it takes to be a leader on a college soccer team.
