Personal Statement
My name is John Pierdomenico and I have been playing soccer since the age of 4. I spent my early years of soccer playing in the midfield and as a forward. As I got older, I was put at left outside back and since then it has been my preferred position, but I am also able to play as a center attacking mid, center defensive mid, outside mid, or wherever my team needs me. I am capable of kicking, shooting, passing, and pinging the ball with both feet, although my preferred foot is my right foot. In the off season, I spend my time weight lifting to better myself for the upcoming season and running to keep my endurance where it needs to be. Even though my preferred position is left back, I have a very offensive mindset. I am able to distribute the ball, win 50-50 balls, work hard, move off the ball, and capable of playing quick 1-2 touch soccer. I push my teammates in a positive way to make sure they get better as well as better myself.
My parents have shaped who I am today and I can never thank them enough for it. They have spent countless hours at my games, practices, and school related activities. They always push me to be better whether that be though academics or athletics. I will always look up to them as they have put me where I am today and how much time and love they have put towards me and my soccer career.
Soccer has made me realize and learn various things about myself. All of the teams I have been on have been a family environment and I plan to bring my mindset and knowledge about the game to any team which I play for. Overall, I am a hard working student-athlete with big goals who loves the game.
