Personal Statement
I believe I would be a good candidate for your soccer team because I have a passion for the sport. I have played since the age of 6. I started with community soccer programs and then played for my school team starting in middle school. In my freshman year at Highpoint Baptist Academy I was voted the Most Improved Player. I have played outside wing, striker, defense and goalie positions.
I transferred to Exeter Township High School last year and I played football but I know now that soccer is the sport I really like to play. This year I played with East Brandywine Youth Athetics playing mostly goalie position. I am also on the Lacrosse team and will be playing Lacrosse when the season starts in the spring and have trained in boxing for the last 2 years.
My college goals would be to get an Associate Degree either in the Building Trades, (I am in the 2nd year of the Building Trades Program, Masonry at Berks Career and Technology Center), or Automotive Technology. I like working with my hands and I will look more into college majors that work with my strengths.
I am not an "A" student but am an average student in the "B" range. Since I have a reading disability it has always been a challenge in my academics but I have tried very hard not to let that stop me from trying my best to achieve certain goals.
