Personal Statement

I have been playing soccer since I was a little boy. Soccer and academics is my life, soccer for me is the way I express myself. I personally have a very competitive attitude in everything I do. Not only soccer but academically too, personally I always want to be better than everybody around. So I take it upon myself to work harder than everybody else to make sure I am my better self. Playing for my club, school, and the Puerto Rican National team has taught me how to be very disciplined and how to divide my time to make sure I do everything I have to do. However, when it comes to leadership I have developed multiple skills due to the fact that as a goalkeeper I have to be in command of my entire team and make sure that they obey my specific instructions. Do to this sport I have developed as a person on and off the court.

Goalkeeper training

Started training as a goalkeeper in the U11 category. Each practice with my personal coach is 1:30 hr. In the practice, we train my grip, the one-two step, speed of the dive, and we work on chore and biceps. We train 2 days a week at 6:00 am.
Puerto Rican National team

Since July of 2018, we have been practicing from 4:30 - 6:00. We train specific strategies in game. For example we pratice how to break a press, how to press from half court to the line of 18 and how to play with the goalkeeper when needed.
Club Atletico de San Juan

In the club, I practice from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. We practice specific strategies for the midfielders and defense and how the goalkeeper should play with the defense in the goal kick.
Goalkeeper training at 6:00 am

The training is from 6:00 to 8:00 am where we cover all type of fundamentals and in game situations. To improve my thought process and analyzes as a goalkeeper.
