Personal Statement

The goals and aspirations that I would like to achieve going into my collegiate life in the Fall of 2018 are to find a college that has a major of my choice and a soccer team that I will be able to play for. Managing the time between practice, studying, and work will be an obstacle to overcome; but, my love for the sport will drive me through my college life. I am looking for a school that has a good engineering or business program that will help me begin my journey to continue my education and my soccer career.

I believe that I am a good candidate and fit for almost any team.  I respect my coaches, always try to better myself and the team I am playing for, have years of experience in club soccer, and have had leadership roles on multiple teams which speaks volumes about myself. I have been named captain of many different club teams.  The leadership qualities that I have are I am a team player,  I encouraging teammates to pick it up while leading by example, and I constantly encourage teamwork.   I believe that the coach has the experience of the game and am willing to go on the pitch and execute the strategy I have been told to accomplish.  I will go out on to the field and try to make a positive impact on the game by doing whatever is asked of me.  I am capable of stepping up to play any position if it is needed of me for the team.

I believe I am different from other recruits because my parents are educators and my father is a high school soccer coach.  They have instilled a set of core values in me,  that include a love of the beautiful game, leadership, character, sportsmanship,  and academic integrity. A student- athlete understands that it is a privilege to represent their academic institute and that you cannot be a good athlete without being a leader in the classroom and school community.   I have proven in my high school and premier career that I have the skill and ability to lead and perform on the pitch.  I have the determination and work ethic to succeed in the classroom and be a constructive member of of the school community and campus life.  I have participate in school sports and club soccer all year round; learning how to manage my resources and utilize time effectively. I am responsible, out-going, and dedicated young man. I am very organized and well prepared for every event. I am committed to choosing a school that fits academically and athletically.
