I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember and have always been regarded as a more gifted player. I grew up as a starter on every team that ever played on, including on my high school JV team in eighth grade, and on the varsity team as a freshman. Being one of the youngest on the team, I'm used to learning from criticism and working my way up the totem pole. I've found what distinguishes me from other, equally talented players is my work ethic and my desire to constantly improve my play. Though I see myself as a highly skilled athlete, my greatest success is in academics. I am currently in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program with a 5.189 weighted GPA and an intention to graduate top three in my class. I have been taking IB German for five years and recently achieved 3rd Place in the state of South Carolina on the National German Exam. I intend on taking IB German for another year and I am considering continuing German through college. I do believe that this intelligence transfers onto the field when I play. I pride myself in my vision and being able to see opportunities and weaknesses in both teams. Due to my experience on a variety of different teams, I tend to acclimate very quickly to the play style of a team. I am very vocal and communicate a lot on the field. My dream is to be able to play professionally, but I plan on earning at least an undergraduate degree in a mathematics related field from a four-year college or university.
