As a Freshman in high school, I learned academics first, athletics second. By the end of freshman year playing varsity earning "All Region" and "Rookie of the Year" awards, I realized staying focused on both is the only way to truly succeed in reaching my goals. Playing soccer since the age of four at my local recreation center and continuing to play club soccer in middle school became the sport that identified me. The highlights in high school soccer from hat tricks, to making Offensive Captain for club as well as coping with minor injuries and mental game became my lessons to grow from. Having those experiences has lead me to stay focused, stay determined, stay humble, stay kind, and stay committed! As a two- sport athlete and team player, I encourage the team with my enthusiasm for the game, the work-ethic to handle the collegiate level, with integrity to do what is right on the field and off. Finding a college and coach that will further my development as a student athlete is important to me as well as serving a two year mission for my church in my college years. Working with me to strategically defer when the time comes to leave for my mission and developing a workout to keep myself in shape while departed so I can come back stronger than ever for my team. Thank you for your time in reading my statement and I look forward to hearing from you!
