Hello,
Allow me to introduce myself briefly.
My name is Alon Biger, and it would be a privilege for me to be a part of a collegiate-level soccer program. I possess a fervor for life, the pursuit of my aspirations, and the attainment of my objectives, whether that involves excelling as a goalkeeper or striving to be a top-tier student.
I was born and raised in Israel, where I spent four years immersed in the Advanced Academic program known as "Nahshon." Additionally, last year in Israel, I elected to major in Computer Science and Chemistry. This program molds us into the prospective leaders of Israeli society while expanding our scientific expertise. Over those four years, we completed numerous projects, including a TED presentation, Biomimicry and Technology advancements, and much more. Developed by esteemed universities and army intelligence units in Israel, this program is only offered by a handful of schools nationwide.
My family's relocation to New Jersey during my fifth-grade year granted me the privilege of experiencing life in the United States. As a fifth-grader, I gained valuable international experience, both culturally and educationally, enhancing my social skills and English proficiency significantly. At that time, I even received an opportunity for soccer tryouts with the MLS team New York Red Bulls Academy. However, our return to Israel abruptly ended this chance. Upon returning to Israel, I made a promise to myself that I would find my way back to the U.S. and strive to fulfill my dream of playing for a college soccer team or even an MLS team.
After a five-year wait, I am thrilled to declare that I have returned to the United States. During the previous club season, I held the position of starting goalkeeper for the U-19 Tennessee Soccer Club Showcase team, despite my age of 16-17.
In this current season, I have been honored to ascend to the role of Showcase team captain, in addition to my involvement in the club’s ECNL-RL team.
My educational endeavors take place at Ravenwood High School, an institution renowned for its academic and athletic distinction. My current GPA stands at approximately 3.5, with expectations of improvement as I refine my English skills. The recent spring season witnessed my participation in the school's Varsity team, culminating in a commendable regular season marked by a 7-2 record, albeit concluding with an early exit in the playoffs.
Anticipating the forthcoming high school season, I am optimistic about the prospect of a pronounced role as the starting goalkeeper and potentially, the team captain.
Throughout my journey, I have consistently dedicated myself to becoming the best version of me. I firmly believe I can contribute significantly to any college soccer program I become a part of. I hold the belief that diligent effort stands as an invaluable contribution to the enrichment of our collective future. I can affirm with utmost certainty my unwavering commitment to not letting down any college that extends me this opportunity.
To all those who are taking the time to read this statement, I am deeply grateful for the chance you are considering me.
Thank you.
