Enrique Rodriguez '23 Recruiting Profile

I am Enrique Rodriguez, from Venezuela, and I have been living in Dyersburg, TN, for 11 years. My goal is to play soccer at the college level, and at the same time, prioritize my education to major in Psychology and continue into grad school. I have always taken the most challenging honors, college, and AP classes available to me. I have played club soccer since I was 4, and I continue to play at JSC, Jackson, TN. Since my freshman year, I have played soccer in the Dyersburg High School varsity team.

I have studied the game, its positions, and disciplines from all eras. I incorporate different coaches' play styles into my own, so I grow as I progress in my soccer career. Because physical speed isn't my strongest ability, I rely on positioning and timing to contest opposing players or incoming through balls. I understand the responsibilities of the six, so I know that I need to be very physical yet patient against faster opponents. This style of play is how I approach playing defensive midfielder, and this is why I am confident that I will contribute to your program academically and on the field.
