Personal Statement
Apart from soccer, I also spend time focusing on school and acting in leadership roles in both my school and community. I am a member of the Math Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at my school, and participate in the TNStars program (https://www.tnunitedsc.com/tusc-stars/) which allows me to teach soccer to children with physical and developmental disabilities. These organizations have taught me to be a leader and value the talents that I have been given both on and off the pitch. I am extremely determined and very focused on making my dream to play at the highest level a reality. A coach once said to my team after our first few matches together, "I wish I had a whole team of players like Lucas." This has motivated me to continue to work hard and set new goals for myself. If I am given the opportunity, I will prove that I can be a valuable member of a college soccer team and will represent the program and university with pride.
