In college I would like to be on a strongly bonded team. From my high school experience so far, my sophomore year truly showed me the importance of working together as a team. We started the season 1-6, and lots of people were starting to give up on each other. It was looking like it was going to be a bad season, but we all decided to have a talk in the locker room instead of practice one day. We talked a lot about what it meant to be part of a team, and what needed to be done differently in order to turn our season around. After that meeting, we all felt a deeper connection with each other, and it changed our mindset in the way we played. We started playing more for our team and less for ourselves. We went on to be undefeated for 13 games straight after that, including the conference championship, and the regional championship. This experience taught me that in order to be successful you must build good relationships between your teammates, on top of all the hard work during practice. I believe that a good work ethic will get you far in life, and I plan to continue this way of thought throughout my college career.
