There are things that go unseen to the public and happen in silence that truly reveal the character of the man. The early mornings and late nights for years just for one opportunity, one chance at achieving something great. I have worked for over half my life with the hopes of playing collegiate soccer at the highest possible level. There are players with immense talent in areas such as their shooting ability, their ability to get past a man or their athleticism. However, what separates me from others is my will and work ethic to achieve a goal and never giving up even if the circumstances are stacked up against me. I went from virtually not playing any minutes in my 7th grade middle school season to becoming an All-Region player in my 10th grade year. I am willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve greatness, both on and off the field.
There are lessons in soccer that I've learned that have coincided and translated into other areas in my life such as school. The necessity of discipline, consistency, perfection in soccer translate into my school life as it pushes me to get better grades and to finish my work early as seen in my 4.0 GPA while I have taken some of the tougher AP classes provided by the school.
I am prepared and willing to do the necessary efforts both athletically and academically to do the thing I've loved ever since I was a child.
