Personal Statement
Soccer has been part of my life for more than twelve years; over this time, my passion for the game has grown. I hope to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level eventually. I hope to showcase my qualities, such as leadership, playing out of the back, reading the game, and technique, at the next level. Throughout my life, I have been lucky enough to travel to many countries and experience many different cultures. Through these experiences, I learned many lessons, such as never taking what I have for granted, treating others with respect, and the importance of hard work. I believe these lessons have helped me grow as a player and have helped me improve on and off the field. On the field, I am always looking to better myself in any way possible, whether that means extra physical training or mental training. Off the field, I am also a hard worker; academics mean a lot to me, and I hope to attend an academically prestigious school where I can grow as a young man and prepare for life after school. I do not know what I would like to study at college, although a sports-related job would be great. Outside of school and soccer, I do volunteer work with YMSL, and I have been to multiple countries in Africa and Latin America and volunteered there. In the following years, I hope to not only grow as a soccer player but to grow as a person and continue to better myself.
