My name is Hugo Grangeno Centeno. The oldest out of 3 siblings who is seeking for the opportunity to attend college and become the first of my family to do so. My journey of life and as a student has not been easy. I have faced many challenges that I wouldn’t wish to any other person of my age. Hopping from country to country and leaving family behind is part of them.
Despite these challenges, I have managed to work my way through and excel myself. Now, as a senior at Del Valle High School, I am ranked 24th out of 574 students in the class of 2019 with a 5.197 GPA out of a 6.0 scale ( 3.46 GPA out of a 4.0 scale). Due to my hard work, I have received the 90+ Academic Achievement Award for my 4 years of high school. Also, I have received the Highest Mathematical Average Medal during my Freshman year.
I am aware that life after high school is difficult, that is the reason why I have prioritize school for so many years. The plan is to continue studying in order to accomplish my goal to serve the community in any way possible while making people happy. I have found out that I can achieve this goal by fulfilling a career as an OB/GYN. As an OB/GYN, I can make a group of people happy by delivering their babies while taking care of women who are very important in our lives. The smile on each person’s face will be the reward of many years of studying and hard work.
Along with school and other priorities, I am a huge passionate fan of soccer. I have played soccer since I was around 4 years old. When I reached the age of 8 years old, the dream to play college soccer became part of me. I would really love to play for your program. I am a 3 year varsity player for Del Valle High School as a center-mid and I have received All-District Awards in classification 6A for 2 years.
