My name is Conor Langenbahn and I attend Grapevine Faith Christian School in Grapevine, Texas. I am a senior and am 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. I play starting center mid for the FC Dallas 96 Premier team. My team won Classic League Division I, Premier League and Regional Premier League in 2013 and is currently ranked 7th in the nation. I also play starting center mid for my high school team.
The athletic accomplishments I think have been important in my life are leading my high school team to winning the TAPPS 4A State Championship three times in 2011, 2012 and 2013. As a freshman I was named to the All Tournament team, 1st Team All District, Honorable Mention All State and Newcomer of the Year. As a sophomore I was named to the All Tournament Team, 1st Team All District, 1st Team All State and District MVP. As a junior I was named to the All Tournament team, 1st Team All District, 1st Team All State and District MVP. I have become a player my high school and club coach can move into multiple positions.
Outside of soccer, one of the accomplishments I am proud of is being offered a camp counselor position at Athens Y Camp. Hundreds of students apply each year and the camp director only hires students he feels can lead in a christian environment. I also travel to Lusaka, Zambia each summer to work at an orphanage with my family, and I went on a mission trip to Beawar, India with my school. I really like being a servant leader of God. Academically, I attend a school that has high academic standards and am able to maintain a 3.44 GPA while playing multiple sports. I am on the varsity tennis team and medaled at districts in 2012. I also played JV football as a freshman, where I started at running back and led the team in rushing. I feel that one of my strengths is to be friendly to everyone and to make kids feel like they are important or they fit in.
