2021 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I have been playing soccer since I started walking, and playing club soccer since the age of 5 years old. In these years I have won some leagues and tournaments, but I have lost many more. Life as a soccer player has showed me that you have to work hard to accomplish your dreams, and that's precisely what I've been through in my soccer experience.
Last year with my High School, I received a certificate for JV1 MVP as a Sophomore, and soon after I got pulled up to the varsity team for playoffs. We then went all the way to the 6A Texas State Championship, unfortunately we lost 4-2 in Penalties but I was happy to able to go through something not a lot of people can go through. Hopefully this upcoming year we can make it that far and take the championship home.
Having a strong bond with my family has helped me be responsible and respectful, as well as a good teammate, and that's something I will bring with me anywhere I go. The values I have learned from my parents have made me the person I am today.
For college, I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically, and where I can be an important part, helping the team succeed. I'm certain my skills and work ethic will be an asset for your team, I have what it takes to compete at the highest possible level.
