Soccer has been a passion of mine since I was three years old. Although I also played baseball, football, and basketball competitively, soccer was always my priority. Eventually, in high school, soccer became my only sport so that I could give it my full attention. Through my years playing soccer, I have learned that I am a natural leader. In addition, as a goalkeeper I play out of the back and have strong communication skills to move players on the field, but I also have a strong, accurate leg that can put the ball at the top if needed. My leadership and communication skills, as well my ability to be coachable and a team player, have led to me having strong relationships with all of my coaches and being voted as captain for the last four years by my teammates and coaches.
In high school I have taken Advance Placement and Gifted and Talented classes. The challenges presented by my heavy class load, while also practicing and playing soccer multiple times a week, as well as working part-time, have helped prepare me for college classes and playing soccer at the college level.
Lastly, I have learned over my years of playing soccer that I have a high sports IQ. I am looking for a college where I can play soccer while also pursuing a degree in sports management. My ultimate goal is to become a head coach or general manager at the highest level possible, as I have already taken steps towards that by starting the US Soccer Grassroots program and doing a mentorship with Chris Fidler, a Division 1 Head Coach at University of Incarnate Word.
