I didn't start playing sports until the age of three, but I started dribbling a soccer ball at twenty-two months. My mom played Division I softball and my dad grew up playing baseball, so they signed me up for everything I could play as early as possible. I hunt, fish, kneeboard, golf and play pickleball, and over my 16 years, I've competed in taekwondo, baseball, basketball, flag and tackle football, track, and cross country, but soccer remained my passion because of the individual and team strategy, and how the game always has you moving and thinking in new ways. I thrive in the situations and challenges that playing soccer at a high level has taught me, and I am working everyday to earn the chance to take the next step and play at the collegiate level.
I am an extremely hard worker both on and off the field. I am highly coachable, mentally and physically tough, and have a high soccer IQ, in addition to being quick and fast with exceptional ball skills. I love learning from others and continually improving my game. I am unselfish and always play for what's best for my team because we are a family with one goal. Throughout my life, many coaches and adults have told me that I am a natural born leader with great integrity, and that others follow me. I take a lot of pride in what that responsibility means.
I played in the Division 1 Classic League, Frontier League and NL Pro League for several years but even though my team was successful, I needed a new challenge to develop more as a player. I then had the opportunity to join the Dallas Texans ECNL team and soon earned a spot to compete in both the Norway Cup and Dana Cups where we won both tournaments, undefeated.
With my career goal of becoming an orthodontist, my academics are equally as important to me, so I take honors courses to challenge myself in the classroom. I have been on the AB Honor Roll every year since elementary school, and in the top 25% of my class since middle school. I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. I am a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee/Student Athlete Scholars, have competed in several art competitions over the years, and was nominated by my teachers to represent my class on the Student Council.
I live in Tyler, TX and drive two hours (one-way) three nights a week for practices alone which means I am also practicing high level project and time management in order to maintain my grades on top of excelling in my sport. I am fully committed to both and I love it. I would love to be equally committed to playing soccer at the collegiate level and I am willing to put in the work and do whatever it takes.
