Personal Statement
Since I joined my first competitive team at the age of 7 my dream has always been to be a professional player, and my goal is to study and play in the highest collegiate level possible. I started training more seriously around 11 when I joined a Crossfit gym with my parents and fell in love with training. A couple years later I left to train more specifically for soccer. Ever since then I’ve done mental, physical, and technical work nearly everyday along with the majority team training. For the past 5 years I have played for La Roca FC under top coaches like Adolfo Ovalle, director of La Roca and played professionally in Spain, Alex Vazquez ex pro from Mexico, and my current coach David Cheves who played professionally in Puru. Because of this I have and continued to learn about how the game is played from around the world. Right now we are ending our UYSA (Utah P1) season and are going into state cup. After we play in ECNL in the mountain region which we are very exited for. Last year we were ranked #8 in the nation going into the finals in NC. I ended up number one for assists in our region and top 10 in the nation.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
On and off the field I pride myself in discipline and adaptability. I have some natural talent with the ball but no where near my teammates. Every skill I have now I have worked years and years for. I have also improved countless flaws in my game that have held me back from teams/coaches/tryouts, and even coaches that have held me back, but just like on the field you must learn to adapt, and I will always show up to play and give all that I can. I am a playmaker and can bring a presence and energy onto the field and have been told this by every coach I’ve had. This is why I believe I could be a good fit for your program and make a difference. I’d love to get in touch and I’m open minded about my college search so I’d love to talk.
