Personal Statement
As soon as my mom bought my first pair of cleats I was hooked on soccer. I started to play when I was five in AYSO, and a few years later I started to play competitively. Through soccer I have learned what it means to be a good teammate. I have built lasting friendships, learned to support someone on and off the field, and loyalty. The game has become apart of my life, I love to study and learn more about it, and with good coaches and trainers I have been taught that through dedication and hard work my abilities can increase.
The same attributes I have learned on the soccer field carry onto my schooling. I have worked hard to keep my grades and GPA high because of my desire to go to a college where I can get a good degree. I was never the smartest in my classes, things didn't always come easily to me, but I was willing to put in the work and extra time to be better and it is the same for soccer. I've always been one of the shortest kids on the field every game I've played, my size has pushed me to work hard on and off the field so I can be a play-maker and team leader on the field.
