I play in a club named Xoloitzcuintles de Tijuana which is a professional soccer club in mexico and I play in one of their minor teams here in Utah. As a club we have won many different tournaments and we also went to regionals and unfortunately lost in Penalties in semifinals. We have also traveled down to Tijuana Mexico where the our club is from Originally, and we get observed by pro scouts. For highschool I have played Varsity all my years and for 3 times in a row we've lost in Semifinals. I have been called in the All state team twice, and was also MVP in a couple of our playoffs games. My very first season as a freshman I was already playing Varsity, my coach said this after a semifinal “Having a goalkeeper like that back there gives you security,” Mendieta said. “On one of the 1-on-1s, I saw him fake their forward, then come back and block it. He’s been great for us and he’s just a freshman, so he’ll be solid next year.”
