Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to play Division 1 Soccer for a university that meets or is close to meeting my preferred field of programs in PreMed/Medicine.
I am a strong candidate to be taken seriously in that I have played for a premiere club team, Forza Futbol Club, since my entrance into competitive club soccer at age eight. I have competed in the top divisions of my age group league since the age of nine. I currently play for Forza's Premiere U16 team, as well as the Premiere U18 team. I am also captain of my U16 Premier Team and have responsibly served as such for the past three years. For 4 consecutive years now, I have played for the Utah ODP State Select Team. Last year, as a freshman, I started Varsity for Woods Cross High School soccer team and was the only freshman to do so. Furthermore, for the past two years, I have journeyed to Manchester, England for two weeks in the Spring to train with the Sheffield Wednesday Football Youth Academy. I enjoy playing with all these teams as outside back and occasionally centre back.
I am academically strong in my course load of Honors and AP classes, all of which I currently hold with a 3.97 GPA. I am currently serving in my second year of the National Honors Society. I plan to serve as a school officer my senior year.
I believe three things separate me from the crowd--first, my international experience with England's Sheffield Wednesday Football Youth Academy; secondly, my strong ability to multitask and efficiently time-manage as I keep a strong academic base and grade point; and lastly, my additional athletic experience as a former club and current Varsity Swimmer for Woods Cross High School qualifying for State Championships as a freshman, my specialty strokes being the butterfly, breast stroke and sprint freestyle.
I am serious in my commitments knowing the time and energy required to do well. I welcome the challenge of bettering myself and look forward to additional life opportunities to help me on my way.
