Soccer is my life.
I started playing soccer at the age of five. Being on the field brought me a joy and excitement that I hadn’t felt before. When I was younger, I struggled to compete with the stronger players. Today, after years of hard work, I have made my way up to a competitive travel team, where I have been selected as a captain, and to my high school varsity team. Soccer defines me as a person--the stress and anxiety of life disappear when I play.
My club coach describes me as a "model player" and an "extremely disciplined and committed player" who "leads by example." He has rated me as Excellent or Above Average in endurance, speed, agility, transition to attack and 1v1 defending.
Soccer is also my passion. I can’t go a day without touching the ball. As a player, I do everything I can to lead my team to success, whether as a central midfielder or outside back. As a team captain, I work closely with my club coach to organize warmups, motivate my team, and encourage players so that we are performing at our highest level, both as individuals and as a team--becoming champions or finalists in four out of five tournaments this year (qualifying for the 2021 USYS Eastern Presidents Cup and advancing to the U17 semifinals; 2021 Baltimore Mania U17 champions; 2021 McLean Premier Cup Finalist; 2020 Virginia Presidents Cup U17 Finalist.) If I’ve ever had an injury, I’ve been relentless in my recovery and devoted myself to coming back stronger than I was before.
As a volunteer coach for a youth rec team, I share my love for the game with younger players. I've enjoyed helping our 5th graders develop their skills, both as individuals and as a team, boost their confidence and have their best season yet.
I work hard every day to improve and develop as a player. If given the opportunity to compete at the college level, I will be a player who can start the attack, create goal scoring opportunities, and help keep clean sheets. I am ready to fully dedicate myself to your team and be a key part of a winning culture!
