Personal Statement
Hi my name is Rocco Fleming, a Senior at Charlottesville High School. My goal is to play soccer at the highest level possible and compete on a professional team. I was introduced to soccer at the age of 3 and have loved the game ever since.
When I first started playing travel soccer, I started out as a wing back, preferably left back due to my natural aggressive nature on the field and my ability to defend, but also move forward with the offense and set teammates up for chances on goal. As I got older, I started to grow and get bigger, stronger and faster. My High school coaches didn't see me as a defender, mainly because of my speed and my ability to score goals, so they tried me out as a winger. I loved it and till this day I'm working on being the best player I can possibly be. I think I stand out as a player because of my versatility to play any position on the field and my love for the game. I regard character and kindness as essential qualities, as they are most important in every day life. I take honors classes for all core classes and routinely pass with A's and B's. I would love to complete my goals of attending a College/University for 4 years while playing soccer simultaneously.
