Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Nick DuBeck, I'm a sixteen and attend Hickory High School in Chesapeake, VA. I first started playing soccer when I was four years old, and I still play today because of my love for the game. I currently play goalkeeper and love it. I currently play on a CCL team for Golden Ball Soccer Academy for an 05/06 team. I plan on attending college and taking my soccer career as far as I can go.

I have participated in Olympic Development Program (ODP) Southeastern District in VA for the last 3 years and was on the VA State ODP team for 2021/22. Also, I had the opportunity to attend soccer training in Ecuador in 2019 for 3 weeks with my club team. While in Ecuador I trained twice a day and played in a tournament with kids two years older than me.

I am motivated to improve and learn how to be a better player for my team. I have been attending several private goalkeeper trainings including Richmond Goalkeeping Academy (RGA), and my club team coach. I want to play soccer in college and have attended several ID Camps.

I have not narrowed down my field of study yet. I am interested in Engineering, Exercise Science and Aeronautical fields.
