Personal Statement
My love for soccer started when I was living in Switzerland. At three years old I enrolled in weekly soccer training. When I moved back to the States I continued playing and was involved in a few other sports but by the age of eleven I decided soccer was to be my focus. I love the thrill of going into every game, each one is ever changing. The game constantly makes me think; each moment offers fast, situational play and outcomes can never be taken for granted. I love to disrupt play, either with a steal from defensive players or being tricky because I am strong with both feet. I am always looking for the best opportunity to score, whether it is to be taken by me or a teammate with better placement on the field.
Living through the pandemic and having school sports taken away, I realize that soccer needs to be a part of my next academic step. There is no better feeling than representing my school and I want to do that at a school that challenges both my mental and physical abilities and allows me to pursue further growth in both.
