2019 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I grew up around the game of soccer. Ever since I can remember I always had some sort of ball at my side and that’s where this journey started. My dad was a goalkeeper and watching him play when I was young inspired me to be one too. Being a goalkeeper takes a lot of mental toughness and an ability to deal with adversity. Which I feel as if I deal well with under difficult situations.
Having traveled to other countries to play soccer can’t speak enough for how much those trips rounded me as a player but also as a person. Being on your own or with your team in a place you aren’t familiar with takes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to show your true colors. That’s a big reason I am where I am today!
