Personal Statement
My unwavering dedication and passion for soccer has built essential qualities for both in and out the field. I set the standard to become one step closer to my goal everyday. With this mindset, I recognize the sacrifices and hardships of achieving my goal. With my leadership skills, I hold my teammates accountable and make sure that I do everything that I can to help my team be successful. I started soccer late compared to my teammates, and I use this to really motivate myself to become a better player in any way that I can. Whether that means coming to practice early, or practicing on my own time. What this also means is that I am have good time management skills as I like to plan out my daily practices, meals, and activities so that I stay on top of things. My three top priorities as a player is to compete, play simple and effective, and have good reactions. Moreover, I try to learn from my mistakes, so that I not only improve as a player, but I also help my team out as well.
I want to study computer engineering as my major. I make sure to balance my academic life with my practice and games throughout the year. I have been excelled in this topic since my youth ,and I enjoy helping others. School has always been a place to really balance my soccer life with academics. Seen through my 3.9 GPA, I do not struggle too much in school and have found myself really good at time management with homework, practices, and games. When I first started playing soccer competitively (middle school), I had the expectation to maintain good grades or else I would not be able to play soccer. This idea has stuck with me my whole soccer career so far and make sure to enjoy playing the game of soccer, while doing well in school.
