Personal Statement
In 2013, as a senior in high school, I played in the WCDA Thanksgiving Showcase in Las Vegas and received a few Division 2 scholarship offers. I was grateful for the opportunity, but the schools were not a good fit. Discouraged and recovering from a stingray puncture and groin pull, I decided to go to a in state university that only had a club team, thinking that would have to satisfy my soccer needs, but it was not enough. I realized I had to play competitive soccer to be happy. So in 2015, I went home and enrolled at Tacoma Community College and joined their team, at first at as a centerback, but I was needed as a forward and ended up as team leader in goals and assists and our team ended the season in the NWAC final four. Also in 2015, I played for the Oly Town Artesians Semi Pro Indoor Soccer and South Sound FC. For the Artesians, I scored 8 goals only playing 5 games because of college playoffs and was awarded "Offensive Player of the Year". This year, I played for Tacoma Community College again, but as their Center back. We won the Northwest Athletic Conference in November 2016. I will graduate with my Associate's Degree this year. For 2017, I need to find my next school. I am more determined than ever to reach the highest level of soccer and I've come back to soccer realizing a dream that I'll pursue one hundred and ten percent .
