Personal Statement
Never giving up and hard work is what keeps me gong in life. Whenever I hit the gym Im always like, one more rep and I always tell myself dont give up, keep going. My name is Omar Jimenez I am currently a Senior at Mabton Jr Sr High School. Ever since I was a little boy I've been playing soccer all my life, its my passion. Now that my Senior year is here im doing my best to get my name out there and just showcase my talent across the nation to colleges. I think Im a very good candidate for any college team because Im a moitivator, hard worker on the field and in the classroom. Im just a talent that hasn't been that exposed yet. I feel what makes me different from other college recruits is that Im a person that will just give it all I can on that field. Everybody that knows me, knows that my character is a very hard working, honrable, loyal, and great motivator for others. With my athletics Ive been playing club soccer since I was 5 and im currently playing with an elite travel team named Crossfire F.C. that is a great team to just develop my talent more and more. I feel what makes me stand out is that I have a big leadership role and talent when it comes to playing the game. Ive recieved a sports team leadership award from my school, I have also recieved one honorable mention, one 2nd team all league, and one 1st team all league throught my high school career. My athletic abilties when it comes to playing the game are pretty impresive. Im currently 5'9 and a good quick outside and defensive midfielder, and I can also play left back. Im just a really quick reactant player, if I ever lose a ball in a game Im assured and determined that I will get that ball back the next play. I just give my heart out always for each play and the game of soccer overall. As we go to my academics my current gpa is a 3.3, which I know I can improve. Now I've recieved a couple of honor roll awards and one principles list award throughout my high school career. But, I've also done academic clubs like FFA and FCCLA. Then as my collegiate goals and aspirations go they are looking pretty bright. Im hoping to major in Kinesology and hopefully even go into graduate school to get my Masters. Im striving for one day to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach so I can help future athletes to just develop their gifts and just become better athletes. Furthermore College soccer is a dream I hope I can complete, and the dream is there but I just need to work harder than any other person for that opportunity and Im determined to do so.
