David Thomas '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is David W Thomas. I am a senior attending Mercer Island High School in Washington state, expecting to graduate June, 2023.

I am an exceptional student looking for a great school to study computer science, music, and a home to continue playing competitive soccer. My biggest asset is that I am a team player who focuses both on the field and in the classroom. I’m currently in the top 25 percent of my class and just finished my sophomore year with a weighted 3.8 GPA (cumulative).

I have been playing soccer year-round for more than ten years. I love playing forward or winger, depending on the team’s lineup. I am known for my speed, ball handling, and passing on my high school and club teams. You could say that soccer is in my DNA, given my mother and her family are from Brazil.

For the past seven years, I played for premier clubs in the Seattle area (the past four years for Eastside FC and two years for Titans FC). In addition to playing year-round for Eastside FC, I start as a forward/winger for the Mercer Island High School Varsity team. I also have coaching experience working  with U-12 players in my community, and volunteering for the Mercer Island High School soccer Unfied Sports and
